About

Tina’s love of fiber art started in early childhood growing up in Pennsylvania.  She was mentored, influenced and taught by her Aunt, an accomplished seamstress and artist whom supported her creatively throughout her life..  Coming of age in rural Pennsylvania she was surrounded by Americana folk artists, Eastern European immigrants  as well as a large Amish community which opened her eyes to an extremely rich and varied history of hand arts.  Her unique sense of color choice and embrace of the wabi-sabi aesthetic demonstrates itself best in her wall hangings. She studied Soari weaving techniques under Fumi Omiya for 10 years. She lives and creates in Los Angeles.
